A non-resident is defined as a FestivalSouth Opera Young Artist who is responsible for finding and financing his/her own place to live, all meals and other living expenses.
A resident is defined as a FestivalSouth Opera Young Artist who chooses to pay for the FestivalSouth facilities package deal on The University of Southern Mississippi campus, including housing, 3 meals/day, wireless internet, exercise facilities, and access to the health clinic for the duration of the FestivalSouth Opera YAP.
Participants may be eligible for federal financial aid. In order to qualify for financial aid, the participant must be a degree-seeking student enrolled at a college or university in the United States of America and must apply to earn college credit through the FestivalSouth Opera YAP. If you qualify for financial aid and would like to apply, the online application for FAFSA is found at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
